6 (1+1+2+1+1) | | Spirit comments | The match was very enjoyable in terms of gameplay and intensity, but we note that certain behaviors seemed aimed from the very beginning at increasing the level of tension. Some calls appeared to have low relevance to the game and highlighted aspects that did not significantly affect play, at least from our point of view. Furthermore, the repeated attempts to initiate discussions along the sidelines following tries seemed unnecessary and contributed to the escalation of tension. | There were occasions of unsportsmanlike conduct like shirt pulling, kicking a disc when we tried to pick it up after a turnover and a player insulting one of ours which lead us to call a spirit timeout.The spirit timeout helped to calm things down.
Our players tried to communicate issues inside their matchups, we didn't feel like this, especially in the marking space, improved and in some cases worsened towards the end of the game.
Nevertheless there were also positive interactions on the pitch! |
